This creamy garlic parmesan pasta is the ultimate comfort food that comes together in just 20 minutes. Perfect for busy weeknights when you want something delicious without spending hours in the kitchen.
The sauce is rich and velvety, coating every strand of pasta perfectly. The garlic adds a wonderful aroma and flavor, while the parmesan brings that umami depth that makes this dish irresistible.
8 oz fettuccine or linguine
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup freshly grated
4 cloves, minced
Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30-60 seconds until fragrant but not browned.
Reduce heat to low and add heavy cream to the skillet. Stir constantly for 2 minutes until slightly thickened. Gradually add grated parmesan, stirring continuously until melted and smooth.
Add drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Add reserved pasta water a tablespoon at a time if needed to loosen the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Garnish with additional parmesan, chopped parsley, and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve immediately.
"This recipe is my go-to when I need something quick but impressive. For an extra flavor boost, try adding a splash of white wine when sautéing the garlic. If you want to make it richer, stir in a tablespoon of butter at the end. This sauce also works wonderfully with grilled chicken or shrimp for added protein."
This pasta is absolutely divine! I made it for date night and my partner couldn't stop raving about it. The sauce is so creamy and flavorful. I added some mushrooms and it was perfect.
Great recipe! I used half-and-half instead of heavy cream to lighten it up a bit and it still turned out delicious. Next time I'll try adding some sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
